Every once in a while a new vegan bag brand comes along, that I get *really* excited about. This month, HOZEN is this brand. I came across the label, when I stumbled upon an interview with founder Rae Nicoletti on Daily Front Row.
HOZEN adheres to the highest standards when it comes to sustainability, only uses vegan and recycled materials, but also fosters fair working conditions. When you purchase a HOZEN bag, you’ll know exactly where it’s made. Currently there’s two collections available: Core and SS19. The Core Collection is made with biopoly oil, a grain-based “leather”, the SS19 Collection features bags made from Pinatex.
What really makes HOZEN handbags stand out is their unique design. The brand manages to combine fun with simplicity, which is incredibly hard to do. “Fun bags” often end up looking tacky. HOZEN’s handbags however have a classy, tongue-in-cheek look, which will for sure turn some heads. The high level of craftsmanship and design is obvious.
HOZEN Core Collection
The core collection features crossbody bags, duffel bags, bucket bags and fashionable belt bags.
HOZEN SS19 Collection
As mentioned HOZEN’s 2019 Spring Summer Collection is made from Pinatex. In terms of the design one word comes to mind immediately: Color blocking. Totes, shoulder bags, duffel and bucket bags are available in red-white and black-white.
